Freedom of Expression Workshop with Edith Rodríguez

On Thursday, March 13, at 7:00 PM, a workshop on freedom of expression will be led by Edith Rodríguez, a representative of the NGO Reporters Without Borders. Organized by the Jesús Hermida Communication Center, this event aims to reflect on the essential role of journalism in society and the challenges facing press freedom both in Spain and worldwide.

Through the discussion "Unpacking Marches," the renowned composers will reveal the deep emotional meaning behind their most famous processional marches.

On Monday, March 31, the Huelva Communication Center will host "Unpacking Marches," a unique event where acclaimed processional music composers Abel Moreno and Manuel Marvizón will share the stories and significance behind some of their most iconic compositions.

THE COLLEGE OF JOURNALIST HONORS JESÚS HERMIDA WITH A POSTHUMOUS MEDAL OF HONOR.

María Nieves ‘Mavi’ and Jaime, the children of Jesús Hermida, received the posthumous Honorary Member distinction from the Andalusian College of Professional Journalists in Huelva.

The ceremony, held at the Jesús Hermida Communication Center, marked the conclusion of the VI Regional Meeting of the Andalusian College of Journalists and coincided with the tenth anniversary of Hermida’s passing.

During the event, speakers highlighted Hermida’s ethical values and groundbreaking contributions to journalism, particularly in television.

A street in Huelva for Jesús Hermida

Fulfilling the agreement adopted in 2016 by the City Council of Huelva, at the request of the Press Association and the Professional College of Journalists in Huelva, a street in this capital was named after Jesús Hermida in August 2017.
