VISIT FROM STUDENTS OF CEIP REYES CATÓLICOS
Sixth-grade students from CEIP Reyes Católicos visit the exhibition dedicated to the Huelva-born journalist and take part in a workshop on 19th-century press.

On Tuesday, February 25, sixth-grade students from CEIP Reyes Católicos in Huelva had the opportunity to delve into the world of journalism and the evolution of media during their visit to the Jesús Hermida Communication Center.
Throughout the tour, the students learned firsthand about the career of Jesús Hermida, a key figure in Spanish journalism, and explored the transformations that media has undergone over time. The exhibition allowed visitors to understand the significance of information in society and its impact on various historical moments.

After the guided tour, the students took part in the workshop "Create Your Own 19th-Century Newspaper," where they had the chance to design their own publication inspired by the press of the 1800s. During the activity, they learned about the structure and style of newspapers from that era, writing news articles, creating advertisements, and crafting illustrations using the techniques of the time.

From the Jesús Hermida Communication Center, the importance of these educational experiences is emphasized, as they bring students closer to the history of journalism in a practical and interactive way. Additionally, the center expresses its gratitude for the visit from CEIP Reyes Católicos and reaffirms its commitment to promoting communication education and outreach.
