"CRISTO BAJO LA LLUVIA" COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION INAUGURATED
An artistic interpretation of Jesús Hermida’s historic article on the rain that defined Holy Week in 1963.

On March 11, 2025, the Jesús Hermida Communication Center inaugurated the collective exhibition Cristo bajo la lluvia, a showcase inspired by the journalist’s 1963 article of the same name. In this piece, Hermida recounted the historic rainfall that struck the Hermandad de los Estudiantes on Holy Tuesday of that year—a moment that left a lasting mark on the collective memory of Holy Week.

The exhibition features works by artists David Morales, Josema López Vidal, Miguel Verdejo, Álvaro Casas, Chema Riquelme, Sergio Cruz, Fran Rivas, Jairo Palma, Sara Gómez, Alejandro Mairena, Guillermo Navarro Barba, and Sergio Borrero. Each artist has offered a unique and creative interpretation of Hermida’s article, bringing its essence to life through their personal artistic vision.

The exhibition will be open until April 16, 2025, and can be visited Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
We invite you to experience this artistic interpretation of one of the most iconic narratives in journalism and the Holy Week tradition of 1963. Don't miss it!
