Freedom of Expression Workshop with Edith Rodríguez

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 13, at 7:00 PM, a workshop on freedom of expression will be held, led by Edith Rodríguez, a representative of the NGO Reporters Without Borders. Organized by the Jesús Hermida Communication Center, this event aims to reflect on the vital role of journalism in society and the challenges facing press freedom, both in Spain and globally.

During the workshop, Rodríguez will discuss the major challenges journalists face worldwide, emphasizing the urgent need to protect freedom of expression amid rising censorship and violence against media professionals. She will also provide a detailed analysis of the threats endangering journalistic work and their impact on democracy.

Luis de Vega will also take part in the workshop via videoconference, as he is currently in the Middle East. This event presents a valuable opportunity for attendees to deepen their understanding of press freedom, the right to information, and the importance of safeguarding these fundamental rights through dialogue and learning.
