Category: Actividades

Francisco López Villarejo presents his book "El Espejo Pintado: los géneros del cine" at the Jesús Hermida Communication Center on Thursday, March 2. This book is part of the Municipal Program for the Promotion of Books by Huelva Publishers, promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Huelva.

With engaging and uninhibited language, sometimes ironic but always colloquial, the author takes the reader on a journey not only through the history of cinema but also through its most emblematic films, its most controversial directors, and its mythical and less-known protagonists.

Even some supporting characters who made cinema what, according to the author, it still is, despite the explosive and superficial evolutive development and the great unknown that modern virtual execution techniques are opening up about its future.

In this doubtful reality, within that context, the book moves with emotion and affection, with deep love for cinema: it recovers film genres, explains and comments on them, attempting to delve into them, qualifying currents and details, providing hundreds of film titles associated with trends and genres, identifying them, even outside their success, by their authorship and quality.
